The Circle

MA final project, TU Dublin, 2019

Circular Economy (CE) is currently considered the most effective path to a more environmentally friendly design as its main goal is to eliminate waste. Using the main manufacturing principles of CE, reuse-repair-recycle, I modified a residential building in the city of Dublin. I focused on two areas; interior design and building resourcefulness. I developed the first by designing the open plan living area of an apartment using materials and products that are circularly designed and the second by providing shared spaces and finding solutions that allow the building to function as a circular system.  .
